Our Studio sessions can be Privates, Duets or Semi-privates. These are booked by appointment and can be 55min, 45min or 30min long.
Here is a brief description of our Studio sessions.
55 min 45min or 30 min
This is a completely individualised session, as there is only you and one Instructor.
When you begin Pilates for the first time the Private sessions form part of your assessment. This allows us to see your strengths and also areas that may need some extra attention. It also allows your Instructor to match you up with a suitable semi or group which will keep you challenged and motivated. Please note that it is studio policy that you are required a minimum of 3 Private sessions if you wish to join a semi-private or an apparatus group class.
Semi-privates are our most popular choice as there are only 3 – 4 clients in the class. We match you with an appropriate levelled class and you have the full studio equipment at your disposal. You may use the refomer, tower, chairs, barre and barrels – depending on what your Instructor deems most beneficial for you.

55 min or 30 min
Duets are designed for people who would like to work out with a friend or family member. These can be a full 55min session or an intensive 30min.
Group Classes can be Apparatus, Mat, Wellness, Pilates Sunrise, Reformer Fundamentals, Jumpboard Fiesta or Barre Body.
These are also pre-booked and run for 45min.

Before You Arrive
We recommend that you arrive at least 5 min before your class so that you can settle in, fill in any paperwork or get changed and not feel rushed.
If you are running late, don’t stress but please be aware that the session will end on time so as not to inconvenience the next client.

To maintain quality in our classes and to avoid overcrowding we require that all sessions and group classes need to be booked in advance. You can book by either calling (03) 9596 9139 or by booking online.

To give you the best possible start Simply Pilates recommends a minimum of 3 to 5 Private sessions to begin with.
These will form the base of your assessment and allow us to guide you into the Pilates Method and also match you with an appropriate group.
Wear something you feel comfortable to work out in. It can range from tights to tracksuit pants, from singlets to t shirts. Very loose shorts are not always the best option as sometimes your legs will be up in the air.
For Pilates classes you can be bare foot or wear socks or purchase grip socks at the studio.
For the Booty Barre classes we recommend either bare feet or ballet slippers.
You can bring water or purchase it at the studio, the only thing you will need to bring is a small towel if you like and a good attitude.
Beginners can start on either Apparatus or in a beginner Mat class. To start with the Apparatus, you will need to do a few private sessions so that we can assess your level and also get you familiarized with the Apparatus.
Your aim should be to work out 2 – 3 times a week. This may be exclusively Pilates, as our sessions constitute a full body workout, or you may choose to add Pilates to your current exercise routine. Pilates will compliment and enhance all other activities
